    20 maraschino cherries with stems, drained and dried
    1 cup chocolate chips, melted (or Wilton dipping chocolate buttons)
    20 Hershey's kisses, unwrapped
    40 almond slices
    White and red decorating icing/gel

    Recipe



    Make one at a time:
    Holding stem, dip each cherry into melted chocolate. Place each on its side on waxed paper, press the cherry bottom into the bottom of the chocolate kiss (the cherry is the body, the kiss becomes the face, the stem is the tail)
    Between the kiss and cherry, place 2 almond slices for ears.
    Repeat process until all are done and let set until chocolate is firm.

    Create eyes by dotting kiss with white icing/gel. Place a tinier dot of red icing/gel on top of white.

    These are adorable by themselves or to decorate a "yule log" or Buche de Noel cake.
