    1/2 C. butter or margarine, softened
    1 C. sugar
    1 egg
    1 t. vanilla
    1-1/2 C. mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
    1-1/2 C. flour
    1 t. baking powder
    1 t. baking soda
    1/2 t. salt
    1/4 C. cocoa

    Recipe



    In a mixing bowl, cream butter & sugar. Add egg & vanilla, beat until thoroughly combined. Blend in the bananas.

    Combine the flour, powder, soda & salt; add to creamed mixture & blend well.

    Divide the batter in half. Add cocoa to one half; spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2" baking pan. Spoon the remaining batter on top & swirl with a knife. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until a pick comes out clean. Cool; cut into bars. Tastes even better the second day! Yield 2-1/2 to 3 dozen bars.
