    Candy Bar Peanut Butter Cookies

    1 cup butter
    1 cup creamy peanut butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    60 miniature peanut-caramel, nougat candy bars (2 bags)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In large bowl, beat together butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to creamed ingredients. Beat until smooth.

    Shape 1 tablespoon dough around each candy bar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes, or until done.

    Variations: Variation: For those allergic to nuts, you may substitute whipped chocolate-nougat candy bars.

    Serving quantity: Makes 5 dozen.
