    1 cup all purpose flour
    ¼ cup granulated sugar
    ½ cup margarine
    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 egg whites
    ¼ tsp cream of tartar
    ¼ cup granulated sugar
    1 cup flaked coconut

    Recipe



    Combine flour and ¼ cup sugar; cut in margarine until well blended. Press evenly in 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chips over surface. As chips melt spread evenly. Meanwhile beat egg white and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add ¼ cup sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Stir in coconut. Spread coconut mixture over chocolate layer. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
