3/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sourmilk(I have used regular, or you can add a teaspoon of vinegar to regular milk)
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt


Recipe



Mix first three ingrediants, then blend in milk and vanilla, then dry ingrediants and mix with beaters

This is more like thick cake batter than traditional cookie batter. Spoon onto lightly greased cookie sheets, can do about 6 bigger or 8-10 smaller cookies per sheet.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. These will be rounded on the top side. Frost the flat side after cooling. Half chocolate, half vanilla to make half moons.
