    Makes 24 medium bar cookies

    Cookie dough
    2 cups flour, sifted
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter
    1/4 cup sugar
    2 egg yokes
    1/4 cup water
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup raspberry jam
    1 cup fresh raspberries

    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt, Cream butter and add sugar gradually, beat in egg yolks one at a time; add flour alternating with water and vanilla. Press dough in 2x12 inch pan. Bring jam to a boil and fresh berries. Cook one minute and spread over dough.

    Meringue
    3 egg whites
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 cup nuts, finely chopped in processor
    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Beat egg whites and salt until stiff, add sugar gradually, and beat until soft peaks form, fold in nuts. Spread over jam and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

    Topping
    1 cup chocolate morsels melted

    Drizzle melted chocolate over all. Allow to cool and cut into bars. Makes about 4 dozen.
