2 16-ounce cans pork and beans
    1/2 cup onion, diced
    2 tablespoons bacon drippings
    1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup barbecue sauce
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

    2 teaspoons liquid smoke (optional)
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (or 1 cup burnt ends, brisket,

Combine the cooked onion with the beans in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Stir in the brown sugar, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, liquid smoke and bacon (or burnt ends, brisket or pork butt). Cover and bake in a 375 degree oven for 1 hour.
