    List of Ingredients




    2 cups dried beans
    1/2 cup salt pork (cubed if you desire)
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2 tablespoons catsup
    1/2 cup honey or molasses ( I prefer molasses, but honey works just as well)
    1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
    2 1/2 tablespoons of barbecue seasoning (your favorite brand)
    2 cups hot water

    Recipe



    Wash and soak the beans then place them in a large pot or Dutch oven. Cover with water about 2 inches above beans and let soak all day or over night. Drain.
    Cover the beans with water and bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours then drain if necessary. Don't let boil completely dry. Grease a 2 1/2 quart baking dish and add the beans, salt pork and onion. Stir together the honey or molasses, catsup, mustard , seasoning and 2 cups of hot water, pour this over the beans. Place lid on pot and bake at 350°F for 2 hours stirring only once.
