    Maple-Barbequed Pork Burgers

    1 lb. pork sausage
    1 cup diced peppers; red, green and sweet Hungarian
    1 & one-third cup bottled barbecue sauce
    6 tablespoons maple syrup
    3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

    Recipe



    Mix sausage & peppers. Form into four one-half inch patties. (Can be made 8 hours ahead; cover and refrigerate.) Whisk together barbecue sauce ingredients in a medium bowl. Reserve one half to baste patties.

    Grill hamburger rolls until lightly toasted. Grill patties five minutes. Turn over and brush with sauce. Grill until cooked through, brushing occasionally with sauce. Place on rolls and serve, passing remaining sauce separately.

    4 servings.
