    1 pkg. Super Moist German Chocolate cake mix
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 1/2 sticks unsalted real butter, melted
    16 or so caramel candies
    16 or so small chocolate chips
    1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake mix with melted butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Spread half of cake mixture on bottom of 9-by-13-inch Pyrex pan and bake 7 to 10 minutes, just until set to the touch but not done. Cool on a rack. Peel paper off candies (annoying, but worth the time). Melt caramels in double boiler with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Pour caramel evenly over cake. Sprinkle nuts and chips evenly over the caramel. Thin the remaining cake batter as needed with remaining evaporated milk so it is spreadable over the nut mixture. Bake until done, about 16 to 20 minutes.
