    1 cup sweet butter
    1/4 cup sugar
    6 oz melted chocolate
    2 eggs, separated
    pinch of salt
    1-1/2 cups almonds
    1/4 cup dark rum
    1/2 pkg. vanilla wafers
    whipped cream

    Recipe



    Oil loaf pan with vegetable oil.

    Cream butter with sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in cooled chocolate. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time, and salt

    Grind almonds or through your blender and add these.

    Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold these into the pudding. Add rum and wafers, broken into large pieces.

    Spoon the mixture into pan pressing down well. Chill overnight.

    To serve, unmold on a platter and surround with whipped cream flavored with a little rum
