    Everybody Loves Bogey's Brownies

    4 beaten eggs
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup melted margarine
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    6 tablespoons cocoa
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Combine and cream eggs and sugar. Add melted margarine alternately with combined, sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla. Bake in a 9 ? 13-inch cake pan in a 350-degree oven for 27 minutes. Frost with Cocoa Satin Frosting.

    Cocoa Satin Frosting:
    1/2 cup margarine
    1/2 cup cocoa
    1 pound confectioners’ sugar, sifted
    7 tablespoons milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup nuts (if you’re making brownies it has to be black walnuts)

    Melt the shortening in a saucepan, add the cocoa and heat for a minute until they are smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and alternately add sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Blend in vanilla and nuts.
