    1 pkg.(3 oz.)cherry flavored gelatin
    1 cup boiling water
    3/4 cup cold water
    1 pkg.(3 1/8 oz.)vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1 can(8oz.) crushed pineapple in syrup, drained
    1/2 cup tiny marshmallows
    1/3 cup chopped drained maraschino cherries in syrup, drained
    1/2 cup cooked rice
    1 cup thawed frozen whipped topping

    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in cold water. Pour into shallow pan. Chill until firm.
    Prepare pudding mix with milk per directions on label; pour in medium bowl. Press sheet of waxed paper directly on surface of pudding. Chill until completely cold. Remove wax paper. Fold in remining ingredients.
    Rice gelatin with fork.
    Spoon half of pudding mixture into 8 parfait glasses to make a layer of each; spoon all of gelatin on top; spoon rest of pudding mixture over gelatin. Chill until serving time.
