    2/3 cup sugar
    3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
    1 cup milk
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
    2 egg whites

    Recipe



    Combine all ingredients except egg whites.

    Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until peaks form. Put egg whites into main mixture, gently folding in -- just barely mixed.

    Place in ovenproof dish and set that dish into a larger ovenproof dish containing water. Water in dish should be about 1 inch deep when smaller dish is set into it.

    Bake for about an hour in hot oven (325 to 350 degrees) until golden brown.
