    5 cups sliced peeled fresh peaches or frozen unsweetened peach slices
    1 cup fresh or frozen sliced rhubarb
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    ¼ tsp. apple pie spice or ground cinnamon
    1/2 cup regular rolled oats
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
    ¼ cup butter
    2/3 cup broken walnuts and/or pecans, toasted

    For filling, thaw fruit, if frozen. Do not drain. In a large bowl, combine fruit, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and apple pie spice. Transfer to a 2-quart square baking dish. For topping, in a medium bowl combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. With pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle over filling. Bake in a 375° oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until fruit is tender, filling is bubbly around edges, and topping is golden. Makes 6 servings.
