    2 c. flour
    1/4 t. salt
    1 t. cinnamon
    2 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. baking soda
    1/2 t. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. canola oil
    3 pkgs. artificial sweetener, powdered
    1 1/2 c. applesauce, unsweetened
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    1 t. orange rind
    1/4 c. nuts, chopped

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325º

    In a large bowl, sift dry ingredients together.

    Mix egg, oil and artificial sweetener in another bowl. Add applesauce, oil mixture, fruit and nuts to dry ingredients, then stir.

    Pour into a well-greased loaf pan. Bake 1 hour.
