Crust
1-1/4 C. flour
1/3 C. sugar
1/2 C. butter (one stick)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Grease an 8 or 9" square baking pan.
Combine flour & sugar in med bowl.
Cut in butter, blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press mixture in bottom of pan.
Bake for 15 minutes

Topping

3/4 C. maple syrup
2/3 C. sugar
2 large well beaten eggs
2 T. melted butter
1-1/2 t. vanilla
2 T. flour
1/4 t. salt
1 C. chopped pecans

Reduce oven to 350
Combine all ingredients except pecans in a medium bowl.
Beat well and stir in the nuts. Pour pecan mixture over prepared crust.
Bake 35-45 minutes
Cool and cut into squares.
