    2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
    1 cup cold water
    2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
    1/4 cup sugar
    dash salt
    1, 21 oz can cherry pie filling
    1 pint cream for whipping
    2 Tbs. amaretto liquor
    1/2 tsp almond extract
    1 to 2 Tbs sugar

    This pink and pretty mold is smooth, creamy and not
    overly sweet. Put in a heart shape mold for Valentine's Day dessert

    Soften gelatin in cold water in a saucepot. Then stir
    constantly over low heat to dissolve gelatin. Remove
    from heat.Add sugar, salt and lemon juice and stir
    well. Stir in cherry pie filling. Chill in
    refrigerator until mixture begins to thicken slightly.Whip cream with
    liquer, sugar and extract. Fold into cherry mixture. Pour into large mold. Chill until firm. Unmold
    carefully and invert onto platter. Serve pieces ( cuts nicely ) if desired with additional fruit or a dessert sauce
