Strawberry Cheesecake Dip

Makes 3 1/2 cups

1/2 cup crushed strawberries
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup Grand Marnier liqueur
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream

Reserve 1 Tbsp. each of strawberries and walnuts for garnish. In a small bowl, mix strawberries, brown sugar and liqueur. Set aside. Blend cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add the strawberry mixture and blend well. Fold in walnuts. Mound the reserved strawberries in the center, ringed with the reserved walnuts. Cover and chill.

Suggested dippers: Chocolate wafers or crackers, graham crackers, chocolate chunks, ladyfingers or banana slices

Note: This does not make a huge dessert helping. If the party is large, double all the ingredients, but increase Grand Marnier to only 1/2 cup.
