    1/4 to 1/2 cup butter
    1 cup water or milk
    1 cup flour
    1 tsp salt
    3 large eggs

    In saucepan combine butter and liquid and bring to a boil. Remove
    from heat and quickly stir in flour. Cool slightly. Add salt and
    beat in eggs one at a time until well incorporated. Drop by
    teaspoonfuls into hot (not boiling) soup or broth and cook till
    puffed and tender.
