Baked Scallops

1 lb. scallops (rinsed, and cut in half if they're large)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 - 2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
fresh bread crumbs or crushed Ritz crackers
Recipe
Simmer the scallops in a small amount of water until half cooked. Drain the scallops and place in a casserole dish. Melt the butter in a frying pan and saute the garlic. Pour the garlic and butter over the scallops. Sprinkle the bread crumbs or cracker crumbs on top. Bake for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
