Broiled Fish with Stewed Tomatoes

1/2 pound of bluefish or red snapper fillet, cut in half
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of margarine, divided
1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1 cup of canned stewed tomatoes
1 tablespoon of finely chopped basil
1 tablespoon of Italian Leaf parsley
Preheat broiler.
Spray a 9 inch flameproof pie plate with nonstick cooking spray.
Arrange the fish in plate and brush with half of the margarine, sprinkle with half of the garlic powder and pepper.
Broil for 5 minutes, carefully turn each fillet over.
Brush with the remaining margarine and sprinkle with the remaining garlic powder and pepper.
Spoon tomatoes around fillets and sprinkle with basil and parsley.
Broil until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, about 5 minutes.
To serve, carefully transfer each fillet to a serving plate, stir tomato mixture and spoon half over each fillet.
