    Internet

    List of Ingredients

4 fresh or frozen mahi-mahi swordfish or tuna steaks, cut 3/4 inch thick, about 1 pound
3 tablespoons of rice wine or dry white wine
    2 tablespoons of dry sherry
    1 tablespoon of honey
2 teaspoons of light soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons of grated gingerroot
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/8 teaspoon of pepper
Hot cooked rice or egg noodles, optional

Thaw the fish, if frozen. Rinse the fish and pat dry with paper towels. Place the fish in a shallow nonmetal dish. For the marinade, combine the wine, sherry, honey, soy sauce, gingerroot, garlic, and pepper. Pour over the fish, turning to coat. Cover and marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Drain the fish, reserving the marinade. Place the fish on the greased unheated rack of a broiler pan. Brush with some of the marinade. Broil 4 inches from the heat for 6 to 9 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork, gently turning once. Brush occasionally with marinade after3 minutes of broiling. If desired, serve the fish with hot rice or noodles. Makes 4 servings
