12 oz. wheel-shaped (rotelle) pasta
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. olive oil
1 14.5-oz can chopped tomatoes
1 Tbs. tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
Recipe
Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and oil; drain pasta and set aside.
Cook garlic and onion in olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until tender. Add tomatoes and next 6 ingredients; cook 5 minutes.
Add Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Pour over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese.
Each serving contains 9.6 grams of fat.
