    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1/2 cup red onion, chopped
    1 cup green pepper, chopped
    16 ounces Italian sausage
    2 cups marinara sauce
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/4 cup red wine or water
    16 ounces Spaghetti
    1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook onion and pepper 5 minutes or until soft. Cut sausage in small pieces and add to skillet. Pour wine over meat, let evaporate, keep cooking 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meat browns. Discard excess juices from pan.
    Add marinara sauce and oregano and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions; drain and combine with sauce. Toss with Parmesan cheese.
