    Peanut Butter Jelly Twists

    2 1/4 c flour
    1 pkg active dry yeast
    1/2 c milk
    1/4 c sugar
    3 T butter
    1 egg
    1/3 c peanut butter
    1/3 c strawberry preserves
    1 T butter, melted

    Recipe



    Combine 1 cup of flour and the yeast.

    Heat milk, sugar, butter and 1 tsp salt till warm (115-120°) stirring to melt butter. Add to dry mixture; add egg. Beat on low speed for 1/2 minute. Beat 3 minutes on high speed. Stir in remaining flour; beat well.

    Cover and let rest 1/2 hour. Roll dough to 16x10 rectangle. Spread peanut butter over lengthwise half; spread jam on top. Fold to make a 16x5" rectangle. Seal edges. Cut crosswise into 1" strips.

    Loosely twist each; arrange in greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2" baking dish. Brush with melted butter. Cover; let rise till double (about 1 1/2 hrs)

    Bake 375° 15-20 minutes
