    Buttermilk and Nutmeg Mashed Potatoes

    10 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
    2 tablespoons butter, softened
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 cup buttermilk
    1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, or to taste
    salt
    freshly ground black pepper

    Recipe



    Place the potatoes in a large pot of boiling water and let boil for 15 to 20 minutes, until soft when pierced with a fork. Drain and place in a large bowl.

    Add the butter and olive oil and begin to mash. Add the remaining ingredients and mash until the potatoes are free of lumps.

    Servings: 8 to 10
