    Bridgeport Blueberry Jello Salad

    1 large or 2 small packages Black Cherry Jello
    2 Cups boiling water
    1 can Blueberries in heavy syrup
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1/2 Cup chopped pecans (optional)
    1 pint heavy whipping cream

    Recipe



    Dissolve jello in 2 cups of boiling water. Drain juice of blueberries into measuring cup. Pour blueberry juice into jello mixture. Pour 3/4 cup of jello mixture back into measuring cup and reserve. Add blueberries, pecans, and pineapple with juice into jello mixture and pour into 9 x 13 glass pan and in refrigerator to set. Whip the heavy cream and add sugar to taste. After whipped, gradually add the 3/4 cup reserved jello mixture and whip. Pour onto set jello and put back in refrigerator to set again.
