    List of Ingredients




    1 round Italian loaf, cut in half horizontally making top half larger than bottom half
    8 slices each salami, capicola, smoked turkey, ham and pastrami
    4 slices each provolone and Monterey Jack cheese
    2 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
    1/4 white onion, thinly sliced
    1 2-ounce can sliced black olives
    2 tablespoons Italian hoagie dressing
    1 large tomato, thinly sliced

    Recipe



    Pre-heat the oven-broiler. Gently pull out the insides of the top half of the Italian loaf, making it hollow. Layer the bottom half of the bread with first the meats, then the provolone cheese. Place the Monterey Jack cheese in the hollowed out portion of the top half of the bread. Place both halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Broil under the oven broiler until both cheeses melt and become brown and bubbly.

    While sandwich broils, toss together the lettuce, onions and black olives with the hoagie dressing. Once the sandwich is done, top the bottom half with the sliced tomatoes and lettuce mixture. Add bread top and press together. Cut the sandwich into quarters. Makes 4 servings.
