    1/4 c. butter or olive oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 c. chopped celery
    6 c. beef bouillon
    2 carrots, diced
    1 potato, diced
    1 can diced tomatoes
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1 can corn (undrained)
    1 can lima beans, drained
    1/2 to 1 t. salt
    1/2 to 3/4 t. thyme
    1/2 to 3/4 t. celery seed
    2 T. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water

    Recipe



    Melt butter, add onion, garlic & celery. Stir until soft. Add rest of ingredients except cornstarch/water. Cover & simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Mix together the cornstarch & water until smooth, add to chowder, stirring constantly, bring to a boil, boil one minute, return to simmer for 10 minutes.

    * I omit the butter & sauteing, just dump the ingredients in, makes it basicly fat free!
    * I go with the less spices and add the other 1/4 after simmering for an hour.
