DOG BISCUITS

List of Ingredients
- 2 c rye flour
- 2 c barley flour
- 2 c brown rice flour
- 2 c bulgur
- 1/2 c ground flaxseed meal
- 1 c cornmeal
- 1/2 c instant non-fat dry milk
- 4 t salt
- 1 envelope dry yeast
- 1/4 c very warm water
- 2-3 c chicken broth
- 1 egg
- 1 T milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients.
- Sprinkle yeast over warm water & stir to dissolve.
- Add yeast mixture & 2 c broth to the flour mixture.
- Mix with hands (dough will be very stiff); if necessary add a little more broth.
- On a floured surface roll out the dough to 1/4" thickness.
- Cut in desired shapes & place on baking sheets.
- Beat egg & milk together. Brush tops of biscuits lightly with mixture.
- Bake 300' for 45 minutes. Turn oven off & let biscuits remain in the oven overnight.
Final Comments
You may use canned broth, or substitute leftover water from cooked vegetables.
