    TRIPLE MINT TEA

    Source of Recipe

    My Files

    Recipe Introduction

For mint lovers, this combination is as good as dessert. On a hot day, try it iced, with limeade ice cubes. Some people prefer the snappier bite of peppermint to the smooth, mellow spearmint, so here, too, it's good to play around with several combinations to find your favorites.

    List of Ingredients

2 teaspoons fresh or 1 teaspoon dried chocolate mint
2 teaspoons fresh or 1 teaspoon dried orange mint
2 teaspoons fresh or 1 teaspoon dried spearmint
Cover the herbs with 6 cups of simmering water. Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve warm or iced.

    Energy Plus Tea

We modern folks need a lot of extra energy just to get through our busy days. Taking time out for tea will help restore flagging energy levels, especially if the tea is this one. You can grate the fresh ginger root or just put young buds through a garlic press (you don't even need to peel them).

1 teaspoon fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger root
1 teaspoon fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried sweet woodruff
1 teaspoon fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried goldenrod
1 teaspoon fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Cover the ingredients with 5 cups of simmering water. Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve warm.
