    Freddy's Macaroni Salad

    1/2 pound Salad size elbow or shell -- macaroni
    1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
    1 tablespoon Milk
    1 large Peeled and seeded tomato -- coarsely chopped
    4 Sweet pickles -- coarsely chopped
    6 Green onions, imclude some of the tops -- finely chopped
    1 small Red bell pepper -- finely chopped
    1/4 cup Fresh parsley -- chopped
    1/4 cup Fresh dill -- chopped (scant)
    1/4 cup Light sour cream (scant)
    1/2 cup Mayonnaise -- real or light
    1/2 tablespoon sweet pickle juice
    1 teaspoon Celery salt
    1/2 teaspoon Coarsely ground black pepper
    Salt & black pepper to taste

    This is best if made "the day before". Stir occasionally in the refrigerator and after 5 hours or so, taste to adjust seasoning each time you stir it.
    Bring 2 qts. salted water to a boil; add the oil, then the macaroni. Boil over medium heat per package instructions or until macaroni is just tender. Drain and rinse twice. Transfer to a large bowl, add milk and toss. Add the tomato, pickle, onion, bell pepper, parsley and dill and toss. In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayo, pickle juice, celery salt and pepper. Combine with the macaroni mixture, cover and refrigerate.
