Beer Cheese Soup

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups half-and-half
1 (12-ounce) can beer
1 (16-ounce) loaf of process cheese spread, cubed
1 T. worcestershire sauce
1/4 t. ground red pepper
1/3 t. hot sauce
1/4 t. salt
Ground red pepper
Recipe
Melt butter in a dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add half-and-half and beer. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk until thickened.
Add cheese cubes.
Cook over medium heat until cheese melts.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 t. red pepper, hot sauce and salt.
Ladle into bowls.
Sprinkle with additional red pepper before serving
