    3 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    4 1/2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
    1 TEASPOON SALT
    1/2 CUP SUGAR
    1 CUP RAISINS
    1 1/2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER
    1 1/2 CUPS MILK
    1 EGG

    PLUMP RAISINS (POUR BOILING WATER OVER RAISINS AND LET SIT 10 MINUTES). MIX FLOUR AND DRY INGRED. MELT BUTTER AND COOL SLIGHTLY. ADD RAISINS TO FLOUR MIXTURE. MIX MILK AND EGGS TOGETHER AND ADD MELTED BUTTER. ADD MILK MIXTURE TO FLOUR MIXTURE AND STIR UNTIL JUST MOISTENED. PLACE IN BUTTERED AND FLOURED 9" PIE PLATE. SPRINKLE 1 TABLESPOON FLOUR OVER TOP AND PRESS DOWN. LET SET, TOWEL COVERED, FOR 20 MINUTES. BAKE AT 350 FOR 45-50 MINUTES.
