    2 C Vodka (use cheapest brand available)
    5 Vanilla Beans, cut in 1/2" pieces

    Recipe



    Combine Beans and Vodka in a jar, cover and let sit 6-8 weeks. Vodka should turn amber colored within a few days.

    After half the Vanilla is used, add more Vodka to jar to cover Beans.

    The Beans have lost their flavor when the Vodka no longer turns amber. Yield: 2 Cups Extract
