    Recipe Introduction


    I keep this in the fridge at all times . It's the only salad dressing Lanny will eat !


    List of Ingredients


    • 3 tablespoons bacon grease
    • 8 tablespoons sugar
    • 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 1 teaspoon cornstarch ( optional)
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1./8 teaspoon pepper


    Instructions


    1. If using cornstarch stir it into the water. This was my invention since I thought the dressing would adhere to the salad leaves a little better .
    2. Just bring all ingredients to a boil and then store in a glass jar or other glass container .
    3. Refrigerate when cool .
    4. To use , reheat in microwave and ladle over salad .


    Final Comments


    Sugar , salt and pepper seasoning can be adjusted to taste . Good over any kind of lettuce mixed with onions and topped with slices of hard boiled eggs .
