    Recipe Introduction

    This is a quick & easy microwave recipe that tastes great! ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN COOKING ON HIGH IN A MICROWAVE - BOILING MIXTURES & SPLATTERS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS!!!!

    List of Ingredients

    1 C. Raw Peanuts
    1 C. Sugar
    1/2 C. Light Karo Syrup

    1 tsp. Butter
    1 tsp. Vanilla

    1 tsp. Baking Soda

    Recipe

    Mix together in glass bowl w/ handle the following ingredients: Peanuts, Sugar & Karo Syrup. Cook in microwave on high for four minutes. Stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon and cook another four minutes on high.

    Add butter and vanilla. Cook on high one or two minutes longer. (When ready, the peanuts will turn golden brown and the mixture will sizzle when stirred).

    Immediately add baking soda, stirring quickly. Turn out on buttered cookie sheet, spreading to desired thickness.

    The brittle will be reaady to break up in about 15 minutes.
