    Apple Bundt Cake

    Source of Recipe

    unknown

    Recipe Introduction

I made this tastey cake for my gentleman friend and he went ape over it. Well they say the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. This recipe is very easy to make and especially pretty to make in Autumn when apples are in abundance. Hope you enjoy this one.

    List of Ingredients

    2 eggs
    2 cups of sugar
    1-1/2 cups vegetable oil
    3 cups of all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon of soda
    1 teaspoon of cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3 cups diced, peeled apples
    1 cup chopped pecans
    BUTTER CREAM SAUCE:

In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and oil. Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; gradually add to batter (batter will be very stiff). Fold in apples and pecans. Pour into a greased 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. For sauce, melt butter in a small saucepan. Add the sugar, cream and vanilla. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved and sauce is heated through. Slice cake; serve with warm sauce. Refrigerate leftover sauce. 12 to 16 servings.
    1/2 cup butter (no substitutions)
    1/2 cup whipping cream
    1 teaspoon vanilla
