ground - Beef Goulash, Steve's Texas style
16 ounces ground beef, lean
1 cup onions,chopped
2 Tablespoons chili powder,
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1, 8 ounce can diced tomatoes
1, 8 ounce can tomato sauce
12 ounces elbow pasta
Brown the ground beef with the onion.
Add 1/2 of the chili powder and continue browning for 5 minutes.
Add the remaining chili powder, tomatoes and tomato sauce. (You can
rinse out the cans with a small amount of water and add as well.)
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook pasta al dente to package directions.
Combine pasta with beef mixture.
Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Makes 8 servings.
