    roast - Barbequed Pot Roast**

    Source of Recipe

    from my mom
I "thought" I had this recipe in here a long time
ago, but when I came in to copy and paste it to
send to someone after I was raving about it, it was
not here....well, it's in here Now. Enjoy!
This one's been in our family for many, many years.
It does not have a bottled bbq taste, as some people
would think when they see the name. In this, you cook
the roast with different ingredients, and, when done,
has a delicious barbeque flavor. I always make extra
sauce when I make this. Yummy!

    roast - Barbequed Pot Roast**

4 to 5 pound beef roast
    2 teaspoons salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1/2 cup water
1, 28 ounce can tomato Puree (not sauce)
    2 medium onions, sliced
    2 teaspoons garlic powder
    2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon Dry mustard
    1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 cup lemon juice

Rub roast with mixture of salt and pepper.
    Brown all sides in oil.
Add water, tomato puree, onions and garlic powder.
Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over roast.
Cook until meat is tender and sauce is thickened.
