    packaged - Bacon Rolls

4, 8 ounce cans refrigerator dinner rolls
    1 pound chopped bacon
    1 finely minced onion
    2 eggs, yolks separated whites
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup chopped ham
1/2 to 1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, optional
1/4 to 1/2 cup milk or water

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease 8 inch
round cake pans or muffin tins.
Cook bacon until limp, not crisp. Remove and set aside.
Cook ham and onion in bacon grease.
Sprinkle in just enough bread crumbs to absorb the
excess bacon grease. Remove from heat. Stir in bacon.
Stir in egg yolk, salt, pepper and cheese.
Remove dinner rolls from package and roll out on a
    lightly floured surface until flattened.
Place a spoonful of the bacon mixture in the center of
each. Then wet with milk or water and pinch shut. Place
    in the pan(s).
Brush with the egg whites and bake for about 15 minutes
    or until browned. Let cool.
    Makes 32 buns.
