    Cheddar Dill Scones

    List of Ingredients




    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tbsp. dried parsley
    1 tbsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. dried dill weed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. butter, (1 1/2 sticks)
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1/2 c. half + half

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 400. Use ungreased baking sheets.
    Use a medium bowl to stir together the flour, cheese, parsley, baking powder, dill weed and salt.
    Cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly.
    Stir in the eggs and the half + half just until moistened.
    Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, approximately 1 minute.
    Divide the dough in half.
    Roll each half into an 8" circle.
    Cut each circle into 8 pie shaped wedges.
    Place the wedges 1" apart on the baking sheets.
    Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until LIGHTLY browned.
    Makes 16 servings.
