    Recipe Introduction

    contributor's comments:
Someone was looking for a recipe for old fashion
bread like Mom use to make, this is the best and
easiest bread recipes I have found.

    List of Ingredients

    Feather Bread

    6 - 7 c. flour
2 pkgs. yeast, (I use Gourmet yeast, Red package)
    2 c. hot tap water
    1/3 c. oil
    1 T. salt & sugar

Add the yeast right to the flour. You
can find it at Wal-Mart Super Center. I use a Kitchen Aid Mixer for
all steps. Then will knead just few times on lightly floured surface.

Combine 5 c. flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add water & oil. Mix until
all combined, add enough flour to form a soft ball of dough. Knead
about 8 minutes. Grease the bowl place over dough let rest 15 minutes,
shape into rolls or loaves let rise until double about 1 hour. Bake @
350 for 25 min. or until golden. Remove from pan brush with butter.
    Enjoy!

    Variation -
Add 2 tsp. vanilla & 1/3 c. sugar for sweet dough.
