    Herbed Bread (Baguette)

    1/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 stick)
    4–6 sprigs fresh Italian parsley (rinsed)
    3 fresh garlic cloves
    1 Bakery baguette (8 oz)
    1 tablespoon Italian seasoning herb paste
    1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper

    Preheat oven to 400°F.
    Cut butter into small pieces and place in small bowl.
    Chop parsley and garlic finely; add to bowl with butter.
    Cut baguette in half lengthwise.
    Stir herb paste, salt, and pepper into butter until
    smooth and blended.
    Spread herb mixture evenly over cut sides of bread;
    reassemble loaf and place on baking sheet.
    Bake 8–10 minutes or until butter melts and bread
    begins to crisp.
    Slice and serve.
