    don't remember where, just found this sitting around today
    sweet - Marble Molasses Bread

    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup granulated white sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    2 cups sifted Cake flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2/3 cup milk
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
    3 Tablespoons molasses

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a regular size
    bread loaf pan.
    Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and beat until
    light and fluffly.
    Add eggs and continue to cream.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Add flour
    to creamy mixture alternately with the milk. Beat
    well after each addition.
    Remove 2/3 of batter to a bowl and set aside.
    Add cinnamon, cloves, ginger and molasses to the
    remaining batter and beat well.
    Drop by tablespoons into loaf pan, alternating light
    and dark.
    Bake 1 hour, until tester comes out clean.
    Makes 8 servings.

    May serve plain or frost if you desire.
