scratch - BabyFood Cake #1 w/Plum Frosting

2 cups sugar
2 cups self- rising flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup chopped nuts
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup vegetable oil
2 large jars baby food (apricot + pineapple mix,
...or one each of plums, apricots, etc.)

Stir sugar, flour and spices together in a large mixing bowl.
Add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees F.
for 1 hour, or until done.

Baby food is the secret ingredient in this cake recipe.
Note: This cake recipe is NOT meant for babies - baby food is simply an
ingredient.


Plum Baby Food Frosting

1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups confectioner's sugar
Plum baby food (You could use any flavor you wish.)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Combine butter, confectioner's sugar, enough baby
food to reach spreading consistency and vanilla.
Mix until good consistency is reached.
Serving quantity: Makes 2 1/2 cups.
