    scratch - Rhubarb Cake

    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. chopped rhubarb
    1 c. sour milk, (pour 1 tablespoon white
    ...vinegar in 1 cup measure + add milk to
    ...1 cup line, let set 5 minutes)
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    cinnamon/sugar mix

    Cream shortening and sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
    Pour into greased 9x13x2 pan.
    Mix another 1/4 cup sugar with 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ground
    cinnamon (to taste). Sprinkle over top of batter.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. May
    be served warm with cream or ice cream.
