    Fairy Food - candy

    1 cup granulated white sugar
    1 cup dark Karo syrup
    1 Tablespoon vanilla
    1 Tablespoon baking soda
    bulk chocolate, melted

    Boil sugar, syrup and vanilla until 300 degrees
    on a candy thermometer.
    Add baking soda and stir.
    Pour in ungreased 13x9x2 inch pan.
    Let harden for 3 hours.
    Crack, then cover pieces in melted chocolate.
