    Whoppers Fudge

    Whoppers Fudge

    1/2 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. powdered confectioners sugar
    5 oz. evaporated milk
    1, 12 ounce package milk chocolate chips
    1, 7 ounce jar marshmallow cream or
    ...2 c. miniature marshmallows
    2 1/2 c. Whoppers candy, cut into halves,
    ...reserve 36 halves
    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Line a 9 inch square pan with aluminum foil and set aside.
    Place the chocolate chips, vanilla and marshmallow cream into a 3 quart saucepan and set aside.
    Heat the milk at a medium heat until warm and then add the sugar.
    Bring to a rolling boil over a medium/high heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
    Continue to boil for 8 full minutes or, if using a candy thermometer, continue boiling until the boiling temperature reaches 235 but do not exceed 9 minutes rolling boiling total.
    Remove from heat.
    Add the butter and stir until dissolved, but no more than 30 seconds.
    Pour the hot mixture over the mixture of chocolates, vanilla and marshmallow cream without scraping the sides of the hot saucepan.
    Mix thoroughly until the chocolates are melted.
    Mix in the Whoppers and fold over Only 3 times.
    Pour into the pan. Let cool at room temperature.
    As the fudge cools in the pan, place the Whopper halves on the surface. Spread evenly.
    Chill in the refrigerator prior to cutting.
    Remove from the pan. Remove the foil and cut into squares.
